Which bin size should I choose?
Start with the material and project, then compare the 2–8 m³ range. If you are between sizes, call our team.
Can asbestos go in a skip?
No. Asbestos is never accepted in normal skips. Make a separate enquiry and obtain prior written approval.
Can I mix green and general waste?
Clean green waste must stay free of soil, building material and household rubbish. Choose general waste or ask us if the load is mixed.
Do you guarantee same-day delivery?
No. Dates depend on location, access and availability. Need it soon? Call to check availability.
Do you service rural properties?
Yes, subject to confirmed location, road and site access. A postcode alone does not confirm serviceability.
Before you load your skip
The same rules apply to every standard skip. Checking before you load avoids reclassification and extra charges.
Keep out of standard skips
- No asbestos or suspected asbestos (including fibro).
- No liquids, including paint, oils, or slurry.
- No hazardous or regulated waste, including chemicals, fuels, batteries, medical or biohazard waste.
- No gas bottles or other pressurised containers.
- No whitegoods containing refrigerants (e.g. fridges, freezers, air conditioners).
- No e-waste, including printers, photocopiers, televisions, monitors, desktops, or laptops.
- No wet concrete, hot ash, or burning materials.
Declare or check first
- No tyres or mattresses unless declared and paid as an add-on at booking: mattresses and car tyres only, in a general waste load (separate charges apply). Larger tyres need a written quote.
- Soils (including clean fill) can only be accepted with prior Council approval and in accordance with the Land Use Contaminants Guidelines.
- All loads are assumed uncontaminated. Loads are inspected at Shoal Bay and may be reclassified. Contaminated loads will incur additional charges.
Tyres and mattresses are not loose skip waste. Declared items are added and paid as supported extras at booking: Mattress (declared) $45 incl. GST, Car tyre (declared) $40 incl. GST. Oversized, light-truck, semi-trailer, construction or earthmoving tyres: separate arrangement, written quote and prior approval. Soil and heavy loads must be checked with us first under the policy above.
